The most recent addition to my Baby A's board book collection is American Babies (2010), published by The Global Fund for Children.
I recommend this book because:
1. part of the proceeds benefit community-based organizations around the world through The Global Fund for Children.
2. real photographs offer important visual learning for infants.
3. Baby A, like many 6-month-old babies, is beginning to show interest in other babies and children so she enjoys the face shown on each page.
4. the American babies shown represent a variety of racial and ethnic/cultural backgrounds of babies across the country in everyday situations, while not being about differences in race/ethnicity/culture.
